Batibot is "BACK ON-AIR" this Month.

On November 27, TV5 and Philippine Children’s Television Foundation, Inc (PCTVF) will bring back Batibot on national TV. The iconic children TV show that created Pong Pagong, Kiko Matsing, Manang Bola and Irma Daldal will be aired every Saturday morning, 8:30 am to 9:00 am at the Kapatid Channel (TV5).

Batibot aired its first episode in RPN Channel 9 last May 14, 1984 on a daily morning slot. The children show was created by PCTVF and Sesame Workshop (Children’s Television Workshop), but their partnership ended in 1989. Batibot was transferred in different TV networks like ABS-CBN, PTV 4 and GMA 7. In 1994, CTW ordered to pull out main muppets, Pong Pagong and Kiko Matsing, due to licensing issues. In June 30, 2002, Batibot aired its last episode.

In TV5, Batibot will have initial 13 episodes to air. Pong Pagong and Kiko Matsing will no longer join the show along with Kuya Bodjie and Ate Sienna. New muppets to join Koko Kwik Kwak, Manang Bola, Kapitan Basa, Ningning and Ginging. Kuya Fidel (Abner Delina) and Ate Maya (Kakki Teodoro) will be Batibot’s new hosts.
